Annually in November, NOCCC sponsors a luncheon, in which people who have provided extraordinary service in the areas of youth, business, and community are recognized.  The NOCCC scholarship recipients are also recognized.

2024 Keynote Speaker -Anthony Ashby 

Anthony Ashby currently serves as the President at CHI Health Immanuel Medical Center, overseeing the hospital's overall performance and operations. He previously served as VP of Operations since 2019 and was responsible for the day-to-day operations of clinical ancillary and support services, as well as the overall hospital culture, engagement, performance improvement, and community relations.


Anthony is a native of Baltimore, MD, and attended the University of Baltimore for his BS in Accounting and MBA in Healthcare Administration. He is a Board Certified Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. Anthony has spent his entire career in Healthcare Operations, beginning in consulting across the country with various Hospitals and Health Systems, driving cost savings and operational performance processes, and has included various leadership roles with Sentara Health, Johns Hopkins, and Baylor Scott and White.


Anthony is a relentlessly curious, perpetually learning, compassionate, serial collaborator and servant leader with a diverse healthcare background. Anthony seeks to grow and support a work environment that enables and inspires all to realize their meaningful and rewarding impact every single day. He is a caregiver to the caregiver who connects leaders, staff, and providers with how their daily work impacts patients, the organization, and each other.


Anthony advocates for workplace culture and development and for making his organization the best place to work. He firmly believes that the engagement, connection, and fulfillment that his team gets from their jobs are fundamental to everything his organization does to provide high-quality and safe outcomes for patients and the community.
 

Anthony boasts several commendable personal achievements, including the 2021 ACHE Nebraska & Western Iowa Regent Award, the 2020 Midlands Business Journal 40 under 40, and the 2020 Young Black & Influential Omaha, among others. Anthony is the President of the Nebraska & Western IA Chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives and was also the founder and President of the N.A.H.S..E Heartland Chapter. Anthony has also served on several local boards, including Nebraska Hospital Association Services, the American Red Cross, Heartland Family Service, and the North 24th Street Business Improvement District.


Anthony is committed to leveraging his role to serve the community, support health equity, and reduce the adverse impacts of social and political determinants of health. Anthony's ultimate goal for the future is to lead a healthcare system that reduces the cost of healthcare, ensures the quality of care is equitable across all populations, and increases minority representation in healthcare leadership.
